These are the "KEYTOP (SPRING CUSHION )" style.  

I did find that they will snap on.  I don't recall doing that in the past (60 years ago), but snap on is easier.  To take off though, I did find that they came off easiest with a quarter turn CW and then lift.  You'd think they reverse would work as easily.

I believe I got my original instructions from Ray Morrison since that's the source of the keyboard at that time, I just don't remember exactly his instructions.
