There's nothing like a nice quiet Sunday afternoon when we can sit and go through our Teletype documentation. I didn't even know I had this section.
As a bonus, I added the supplemental wartime page. Don't replace any parts just because they look bad.

I also have a KS-7771 tool case and its contents, purchased from e-bay some time back.I think it might be a close equivalent to the Teletype 113778 Universal Tool Kit. There were some differences with my KS-7771. It's possible that the original owner added or deleted tools depending on their needs.
I haven't found a layout where the tools go, but I was able to find a place for everything. Some slots were pretty obvious.
Look in these for tool information.
. Section 570-005-800TC Issue 6, August 1977. Section 570-005-800TC Issue 1, December, 1966. (Supersedes Bulletin 1124B). Bulletin 1124B Maintenance Tools Change 4, October 1962 (Supersedes February 1962 Issue)
. Bulletin 1124B Maintenance Tools Change 2, April 1959 (Supersedes April 1958 Issue)There's a page in each of these that lists the contents of the 113778 Universal Tool Kit.
These manuals are available at https://www.navy-radio.com/manuals-ttycorp.htm. Many thanks to Nick England for maintaining this great resource.
I also had a 471A tool that was listed in X-75515 Tools and Gauges (Bell Telephone Laboratories) on Archive.org.

Here's an esoteric question:
I have a KS-7771 tool case. I have been led to believe that it was intended for Teletype technicians. I can guess where some of the tools go (such as the spring gauges) but have no idea where anything else would go.
Does anyone know whether AT&T ever had a BSP describing the contents and configuration of each type of tool kit?
