Wayne,
The computer is an old XP laptop that runs 24/7 in a corner of my den/hamshack. I happen to like XP and use it on all my computers that don't have to be on the internet.
I have converted many text files to tones using the "Send Text" option in MMTTY. It is convenient for me to run a wire from the MMTTY computer in to my little editing studio and record to MP3 using Cool Edit Pro on another computer. You can use your favorite recording software. The MP3's are 11025/8Kilobits per second which is what ITTY uses, is fine for TTY tones and are not very big. I save each item as a separate MP3,
I Copy them to my streaming computer and use My favorite MP3 player to play them with "repeat all" turned on. If you prefer you can use "Repeat Random."
I happen to like the free 1X1 player. It is self-contained and doesn't put anything in the registry. It can also be directed to a USB sound card as I do. From there you must run the tones through a TU and then to your Teletype.
Turn off all audio processing.
I run a second stream with the free Zararadio software, using the built-in soundcard. And from there to a second TU.
Zararadio is actually radio broadcasting software and is very powerful. I have it set up to feed tones to my RTTY repeater on the hour and half-hour. That is tricky and if you wish timed broadcasts, will take much more explaining.
I hope I have given you a start.
