Good morning and happy new year!

I am also new here and to teletype machines, and also not too far from Matt (I'm in Oswego NY), so I thought I would add on to his thread - hope that's OK! I'm pretty much in the same boat of being machineless. I'm not really too picky for a first machine, just something that is restorable as I continue to learn about these things! If anyone has some suggestions for local-ish machines that perhaps Matt isn't as interested in, let me know!

Matt: once we both get machines, perhaps we can compare some notes as we work on these things since we aren't far apart! :)

Take care,

-Dan

Hello everyone and happy new year,

I wanted to introduce myself as a new member here. My name is Matt and I am just starting with teletype machines. I've been wanting to do a restoration for a while now and am having trouble locating a machine to work with. I'm looking primarily for a Teletype model 15 or 19. I really like the older style but I also like the ASR 33s.

Does anyone know where I could look to try and dig up one of these models?  I'm located in the Rochester NY area but travel isn't out of the question to go get one if it turns up.

Thanks everyone for letting me be a part of this community,

Matt Wagner
