I actually don't want fool around with the Western Union 28 KSR case. I would happily trade it for a case with no LESU. There must be someone who would love to have this W. U. case. and make a deal. I will take out the KSR base then post a photo of the case.

By the way, about the motor pinion being to tight against the gear. I took the pinion off to use my other KSR to test FIGS-BLANK-H with my ASR.

The motor shaft in the base with no typing unit actually rubs the gear hard enough to turn it. Something is really wrong there. I guess I will have to pull the LMU3 from the base that is working and try it on the base that seems too tight,

I tried lining up an LMU12, governed motor, with the holes and it was also too tight to the gear.

I will play around until I figure out the problem.
