The motor is flaky starting. It will wobble back and forth a few degrees and overheat if I  don't cut the power.

If I give it a spin and quickly turn on the power, it runs fine.

The first thing I did months ago was clean the relay. It worked fine on the bench but went back to wobbling in the ASR. Recently I bought a new outboard capacitor. It worked fine for a week or two then it started to wobble again.

By now I had a used LMU12 which I swapped in.he ASR has been fine since.

Now that it would run reliably, I could tackle the uneven printing. That turned out to be both vertical correcting levers slightly bent.

I put the flaky LMU12 in a 28 ASR base I will be using soon. If it still acts up I will worry about it then.
