Nick,
Thank you for the link. Your site is getting so big it is starting to get difficult to find things I need.
I hand cycled my ROTR (with it connected to ITTY news so it would print random characters and not just blanks) the axial correcting lever was operating positively.
It is much harder to tell with the vertical correcting lever, but it seems to be passing in front of the lever it should strike. If I held it inward with a screwdriver, it would lock in every time. Otherwise it would miss. is there an adjustment for that? Or do I need to bend it as I did on my ASR typing unit?
With the ASR I could type a problem letter and run it through the complete printing cycle by hand. I don''t have that luxury with the RO-ROTR.
I would love to get my hands on a KBD base and cover for an ROTR!
I also observed that tape from the ROTR won't read on my ASR TD.
When the perforator on the ASR condescends to work, it reads fine on its own TD. I see that the feed holes from the ROTR are not quite in line with the data holes. I found the adjustment manual on your site and have been staring at that page hoping it will sink in. I don't have the gauge, but since I could see the trouble by eye, I am hoping I can adjust it by eye.
Thank you again for a terrific resource.
