Inherited a Hal ST8000 and going to list it on
qrz.com if no one here wants it. I upgraded the EPROM to the last
version 2.0 and it has a decent scope.
No rack handles.
Front is good and spinner knob and all are fine.
Had it in-line and works just fine on 170 Hz RTTY. You do need a
"real" comport to use it.
Shipping is fairly expensive as it isn't real heavy but its
17x18x4 and the front needs a lot of padding to keep all the
switches from having a problem.
This one belonged to Hal K7IRA (WA7EGA). We won many RTTY
contests with this unit. Also you can hook 2 together for
Diversity.
The manuals are all available on-line. I can link a Hal
DSRTTY-Win program or any old terminal program will work just
fine. Doesn't have loop but it could be configured through the
port.
