The two transformer front to back to back to front should work nicely.
After you get the 120 volts DC, to get a 60 ma source, try using a
night light bulb.  They are 7 watts, and (if my math is right) they
will be a nice limiter of current to around 60 ma.  Saves trying to
find a heavy duty resistor.  I haven't tried it personally, but it
ought to work out OK.
