A local movie theater has a Hollywood Classic series every Saturday. Today
was All The President's Men. There are several scenes showing wire service
machines printing, including a long series at the end, just before the
credits. The machines APPEAR to be model 28 or similar due to the use of
the type box. When I worked in radio in the 1970s, the wire services used
model 15 for radio and model 20 (6 bit Teletypesetter code) for newspaper.
I saw radio stations move to the Extel dot matrix printer. Did wire
services use the 28?
