Nick,

I have used the CV-116 as part of an AN/GRC-26D (do you have that
manual?), but it was almost 60 years ago in RVN.

We have a CV-116 (and some of the interconnect boxes) at the AWA Museum,
but the weight and need to test 48 tubes had dissuaded me from doing
anything with it.

All I remember about operation of it is that at the end of a contact,
you need to turn off the AFC or put it in standby. Otherwise, the AFC
goes hunting for the signal, gets to the end of its range and sets off a
loud doorbell!

Have fun,

Duncan,
K2OEQ
