Feel free to check it out and provide feedback!
This little development project was solely a learning project for me. (with
the hope I could share it once near completion) I'm a Software Engineer for
a living and wanted to learn the ins and outs about how teletype works.
What better way than to generate it with code right?
Future plans include but are not limited to :
Addition of a large form text box, maybe in a popup modal?, that users can
enter some custom text they'd like to print on a machine,
ASCII art generator?? not many characters are good for this in baudot
(using a single character like "#" anyway... which I don't even have on my
model 28 HIHI) but maybe we can make something work. There are some other
resources for this out there.
I'd like to get the weather report to pull the latest data for each cycle
(this isn't really possible with the current implementation) NOAA api is
far to slow / unreliable.
Possibly a live streaming message board (still not really sure what this
looks like from a development standpoint? How to moderate etcetera since
it's public.)
Definitely need the addition of some programmatically updated news content
(this would be cool if it was updated between cycles as well.)
I've been meaning to make a post to get some additional feedback and share
the application.
Thanks and 73,
