That sounds it would be a fun event. Unfortunately, I'm almost 2,000 miles away...

Message delivered to jim at k6ccc.orgHello Greenkeys!

My name is Jody Harnish from the Ann Arbor District Library, and we're planning a new Fall expo called Dead Media Day!

Event is Sunday October 12 , 2025 and applications are currently open through Thursday July 31 .

We're taking a very broad definition as to what constitutes "dead" media, not because we're looking forward to the arguments, but so that it's a cooler show. Everything from VHS, Laserdisc, Cassettes, Vinyl, HiFi Equipment, Projectors, Film in all formats motion and still, Pulp Novels, Vintage Games, Mechanical Watches, Typewriters, old Radios and more!

I was wondering if anyone in Southern Michigan or the Northern Ohio vicinity might be interested in doing a working Teletype exhibit at our event? So ideally setting up their gear and demonstrating its function, and talking about it to an eager, all ages audience? Selling is also fine but I expect the market will be small, but the interest will be large.

Here's a direct link to the app form if you would like to table:

And a media post if you know of anyone who you might share it with:

Thank you for your time and consideration!
