I just discovered that I can post to Greenkeys but am no longer receiving
email from Greenkeys. Not in my spam or trash folders. So I am searching
the archives....
Apologies to people who have asked questions that I might have responded to
earlier-
Jeff and Ron -
DB25 Connector - I am using pins 1 and 2 only - not connecting to anything
else other than pin 24 signal ground.
Jeff - I haven't investigated a transmitter keyline connection yet.
Michael - Sounds like you are not actually in autoprint (A.P.)
The microprocessor does not register switch configurations until you
perform port initialization
See steps 11-20 of Table 2-4
CTRL-2 (PORT STATUS) will print out the current status of your 3 ports.
Port 1 is the main comm line, Port 2 is not connected, and Port 3 is LED
one-line display
CTRL-1 (PORT INIT) will let you set Port 1 to C (comm) and read the config
switches.
When you exit from PORT INIT, these settings will be saved.
I am running A.P. and when I get an incoming message it will print A.P. as
a header rather than MPN xx - no message is stored.
FULL DUPLEX OPERATION
I am currently running full duplex without using stored messages
XMIT ECHO OFF. XMIT PRINT ON. AUTOPRINT ON
(if needed, do the PORT INIT thing above to register the switch settings)
Press MSG TX then ENTER to enable transmitting. XMIT ACT lamp is lit.
The machine will also receive and print text if PRINT ENABLE is ON.
If PRINT ENABLE is OFF, then the incoming text will be stored and then
printed when you turn PRINT ENABLE back ON.
