[GreenKeys] ST-8000 sudden death

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.  Several months back acquired an ST-8000.  Spit shined, cleaned all connectors, new knobs, replaced some LEDs on front board, new 2.0 eproms (TU K9CW) and new Dallas 1220Y module.  Set up as REGEN only and been using the unit the last several months with zero issues everything functioning absolutely perfectly as designed.  I was delighted how well all worked.

Yesterday after a few hours during the NAQP was casually decoding and trying the different AM and FM filters, when suddenly the display went blank and when I tried to reboot just gibberish now on the displays, no boot sequence, powers up but nothing functioning properly just haywire.  This was completely unprovoked no RFI etc. just stopped working, no smoke that I perceived.

I'm scouring the technical manual but if anyone has ANY leads for me cc where to start looking I'd sure be very grateful.  I'm bummed.
