[GreenKeys] Bell on space???

GKs,
  My model 15 was owned by Associated Press.I have never had it running yet. (getting close)If I'm reading the documentation correctly the lever for the bell is a 4Bwhich means "bell on space"?Is this thing set up to ring the bell on every space character?A ding for each word?
Seems like that would make for a noisy news room.
