Yes. There was a "naval model" of the Model 15.

Someone on Greenkeys had one and might still have it.

Differences from a standard Model 15:

- Keyboard is permanently attached to the base, with
an aluminum support frame.

- Typing unit can be slid forward on rails for maintenance
and has additional leg supports.

- Shock mounts.

- Reinforced base

- Big thumbwheel instead of removable crank for paper
advance.

- Carriage has some aluminum parts to reduce weight.

- Stronger carriage advance and return mechanism.

- Will operate up to 45 degrees from vertical.

Around 1950, the Navy began transitioning to machines
based on the later Model 28 mechanism, which has
a much lighter moving carriage and is better suited
to mobile operation.
