Hi Greenkeys,
Thanks a lot for all your advices. I am pleased to see that they are keen and responsive people here who can help me !!
@John W9DDD, @WAYNE, @Doug Jones : I tried them and all seems OK.
@John Hanson : I tried your idea and it works too. But it makes me to notice that the ASR33 works as if the paper tape was completely punched with holes (non print). So i tried to make works the reader with no paper punch and press manually the pins and … The printer prints characters !!
So it seems that the reader pins are too strong and raise the paper tape when there is no holes, or the paper tape is too soft. Is it possible ? Can the reader pins be adjusted ?
Have a nice day.
Stephane.

The contacts for the reader are in parallel with the keyboard. So try shorting out each contact in turn and then press a key on the keyboard ideally the null character or failing that the @ character. Null is mostly zero, while @ is all zero except for one bit.
The short should modify the character transmitted to the computer.
If this works for all contacts, then I suspect that the timing is off on the trigger for the distributor to start
Hope this helps
