Nick, thanks for the info!
I suspected it was for Morse. There's an AR key cap which was a good
clue. It would be quite a showpiece if you could find the mating
transmitter part.
Might that be included in the accessories mentioned in the auctions item
description?
Someone will find out if it gets saved.
