Fellow Teletype enthusiasts: I wish to thank all who have written in defense of the ITTY channel. I have been associated with it since around 2006 (thereabouts) when
George Hutchinson ran it.. True it has had its ups and downs. I would like to mention that we are not the only people that rely on
ITTY to exercise our machines. Just recently I installed a 15 in the house of a retired newspaper
man in the wilds of PA. He was so happy to see his machine come to life. If ITTY is shut
down, he reverts to having a door stop again. And I was proud to be able to do this. What I think we are doing surely beats the hell out of running RYs
or TQBF all day. Or silence as was before. There are others who have written to me thanking for ITTY, but it is
not me, it is Paul Heller who has taken on the yoke of ownership,
and I thank him for all he does to keep it running. But I digress. It was never meant to be a news service. It was meant to be a
vehicle to keep ALL of yours, mine and other's machines spewing out
paper and smelling like warm KS oil as it was meant to be. I would personally like to thank all the contributors during the
years both past and present. Especially Wayne in MI, Doug Nelson and
even that person in Spain who pipes up once in a while. If I forgot
anyone I apologize. At any rate I hope Paul changes his mind and restarts ITTY for the
good of all rather than pack it in for because of one or two that
are dissatisfied with the service. Sorry for the rant. Thomas WB2TTY Tillson
