Similar story. I was in Phoenix on a business trip once many years ago. I
tried to meet up with Ed but he insisted things were being rearranged so I
couldn’t visit. I had donated some stuff to him but quit after that. I hope
his accumulated collection stays out of the landfill.

Ed was a strange bird, but he did post a lot of interesting stuff on his
SMECC web pages. And he never did learn the difference between subject line
and body text in email…..
