https://w6iwi.org/rtty/audio/nyt/ has been updated.

I fixed the problem where playback through the top of the hour (when
content is updated) corrupts the content being played. Now the WAV files
have a timestamp in the filename and are maintained until there are 10
files, then the oldest is deleted. When the player requests audio, the URL
is latest.php which then does a redirect to the latest WAV file. The
player continues to do requests from this WAV file even if a newer one is
created by a content update. At the end of playback, the player again
requests the latest, and is redirected to the latest WAV file that exists
at this time.

I added 100 wpm audio. I do not have a way to test this, so it would be
great to hear if it works!

I tested a few browsers. On my Win10 system,

Autoplay is supported by Opera and Edge.

Autoplay is not supported by Chrome, even if if I set the site settings
for Sound to Always.

Autoplay allows the player to start playing shortly after the user hits
the Play AFSK button. It also allows the latest content to be loaded and
played automatically when the current content ends. This results in a
continuous feed of the latest content. If the content takes less than an
hour to print, the same content may be printed again since I only update
on the top of the hour.

For browsers that do not support Autoplay, you have to hit the player play
icon to start playing after the Play AFSK button is hit. And, at the end
of playback, the new latest content is loaded but not played. You have to
hit the play icon again.

I will continue testing and debugging. I know that occasionally JavaScript
ends up in the articles. I'll watch for that and add more code to
terminate articles on JavaScript.

I look forward to comments!

Thanks!

Harold
