So my M15, maintenance, lube, and cleaning day…
Flipped it on to warm it up a minute and I see wisps of smoke, working fine though. Shut it down and pulled it apart…. What’s toasty in here??? I haven’t started oiling or wiping yet.
Well it’s the 2 resistors behind the keyboard- yeah those are usually hot. I have never had ceramics fail, and these aren’t failed - just look well toasted.
I’m in between maybe a drop of oil fell near them or am I waiting for doom? (Pic on email if you read copy in print)
Cleaned them with windex and the smoke faded and stopped at next run. so I’m leaning toward oil and wonder if anyone knows otherwise???
