I know many in the group run beautiful vintage RTTY stations with a
teletypewriter. While I'll likely never be able to have anything as fancy
or as sophisticated as most of you with the aforementioned setup I might be
able to put together something more simplistic. Is it a reasonable pursuit
to set up a station with a teletypewriter or am I barking up the wrong
tree? Would it be difficult to interface with a decoder and transceiver
(URC-94?)? I admittedly have zero experience with a teletypewriter.

The extent of my "vintage" RTTY experience is a Hal Telereader if that
tells you anything.

The reason for my question is I have an opportunity to purchase a Bell
model 26 teletypewriter locally. Is this model even within this purview?

I appreciate any and all opinions. Thank you in advance.
