There certainly are other collectors with their own switching systems.

My first exchange was a uniselector type from DeTeWe in Germany. I
graduated to a Strowger step-by-step unit made for the British Post
Office - a 6 foot rack in my garage. This was followed by a briefcase
sized 10-line electronic cross-point made in Ireland. I now have a
Panasonic electronic system.
