Right.  And the Beatles used piano music recorded and then played backward on some of their songs from that ear.  Sounded really weird, but if you spun the turntable backwards (which you could do on an AR turntable) you could hear normal piano music.

And if you played the Beatles Revolution Number 9, backwards, each time they said Number Nine, it came out as something you could imagine was "turn me on dead man" (more like "eon ebmun" but the ear plays tricks on you.  And from that came strange and nonsensical rumors that Paul was dead.
