Up to now, I thought I had figured out that Teletype seemed to use to fork terminals where you were more likely to change wires around to change options and ring terminals where there was slim chances you'd need to change.
Well I just replaced the two broken 20 point terminal strips on a spare LESU that's going to replace a WU wire cabinet. The left strip was all fork terminal and the right was all ring.
Seems to be no rhyme or reason after all. I did the left one first and thought this will go fast and no dropped screws. Things slowed considerably on the right. Only dropped one screw which is lost for eternity. Plenty of extras on the old broken terminal strips.
I have nothing against the WU wiring cabinets. In fact they have some nice features like current monitoring jacks. This one had been worked on and had many parts removed.
