I built a low speed interface for it, and then a gent at MIT built a high speed interface for it.

I am happy to share details. It is impossible to tell which punch block is installed from those pics I think. It has all 9 resistors for the solenoids.

Can it be told from the listing if it is 5 or 8 level (or in between)? Also, I’ve read it can operate at different speeds. Does this require a change in gears or is it just done electrically (like sending the data more slowly)?  My understanding is this is a parallel device. Anyone ever design an interface for it?
