[GreenKeys] Model 28 Light bulbs - LED replacements?

The double contact base is what will make finding LED replacements
difficult. How about using epoxy and insulating tubing to turn the
double contact base of a bad bulb into an adapter for the small single
contact socket that will accept a #47 LED equivalent? A good lower cost
source for 6 volt LEDs to replace #47 lamps is Ebay. Look for "pinball
machine bulbs". You could also solder leads to the base of the LED bulb,
put them through the double contact, base, solder them, and then steady
the LED bulb with silicone caulk. I have done it both ways on a variety
of equipment. For the 60 or 120 volt lighting circuits, look into LED
appliance bulbs. They are a little pricey, but bargains can be found.
