Very interesting history on Datapoint! I also just read more at
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Datapoint .

Some of this reminds me of the TC series Halt and Catch Fire which was
about a PC clone manufacturer in Texas. It's an interesting series. A lot
of the start of the series is devoted to a clean room development of a
BIOS. The small group of people go through boom and bust cycles of forming
companies that are successful for a while, then not.

My first computer terminal was a Lear Siegler ADM-1 (
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lear_Siegler#Computer_terminals ) . I also
used some Televideo terminals ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/TeleVideo )
and Teletray terminals.

All this terminal talk reminds me of Don Lancaster's TV Typewriter (
https://www.tinaja.com/glib/bdtvtype.pdf ). I still have his Active Filter
Cookbook.

I also have a Houston Instruments DMP-29 plotter that I used to use to
plot schematics and circuit boards. SOME DAY, I hope to write some code so
it will print ITTY.
