[GreenKeys] "Universal Release Magnet" for M14 TD

At the Museum today, I came across some "Universal Release Magnet Kits, 
#87390" for use on M14 TDs.  It consists of a solenoid, a resistor, and 
some miscellaneous mechanical parts.  Paperwork is "Specification  
S-5104", which I do not find on Nick's site (I'll send him a scan.)

Anyone know what this kit did or was for? /
