[Jones, Douglas W]

My father, Lawrence W. Jones, W8LUJ, died Friday morning at age 97.  He was a Signal Corps veteran, having served in the 35th (Santa Fe) Division in France, Belgium and Germany between 1944 and 1946.  After the war, he had a long and productive career in physics.  He taught me the fine art of tinkering with things mechanical and electronic, not to mention plumbing and carpentry.
