Duncan,
Your comments made me re-check things. The lever was in the correct position however I noticed that when under pressure the pinch roller was not free to rotate. A drop of oil on either side and another alcohol cleaning did the trick. I printed a good two feet of ITTY and no slippage, I’m a happy camper. Next step will be to try and get on the air with my Collins S-Line. No tape setup so I need to brush up my typing skills.
Thanks for your help

Julian,
Are you sure that the platen release lever on the right side of the platen is in the right position?
I think you move it forward to lrelease the platen roller to feed in the paper and then push it back to tighten the roller. (Might be the other way round)
I've worked on a lot of old TT-4s & TT-98s and if the line feed rotates the platen the paper has always is fed OK.
Good luck & have fun,

Hello folks,
I finally got my Kleinschmidt TT100B/FG up and talking to a HAL ST-6000. I hooked the HAL up to the speaker port on a PC and have been having fun copying ITTY (love that wee oscilloscope). I am having some issues with the paper linefeed slipping (not advancing the paper). The platen is advancing ok but the roll paper only advances about 70% of the time. My assumption is that the platen has gotten hard over the years and doesn’t quite “grab” the paper as it should. I tried cleaning it with some 98% isopropyl alcohol and it helped a bit. I was wondering if anyone had a suggestion before trying to pull things apart. The other option would be to use sprocket paper. I saw a thread on someone possibly acquiring some. I would be interested if it will fit my machine. I measure 8” sprocket width.
Thanks
