Eugene,
I believe Teletype Corp.'s first receiving perforator (aka reperforator)
was the "RPE" aka "Single Magnet Reperforator" (Bulletin No. 162; Jan
1940). This is shown on pages 73-75 of Nick's 1948 "Teletype Equipment
Description Sheets". This box sat on a little dolly under the M19 table.
At some point (c1940-46), the original FP strip printer was modified to
also punch tape and became the FPR Typing Reperforator. The RPE box that
sat under the M19 was then modified to take the FPR reperf - see pp
77-79. The fact that both "tall reperfs" are in the same 1946 listing
implies the RPE was being replaced by the FPR in this time period.
Also note that there were a lot of "Model 14" variations, so one must be
careful about making general statements about "M14" units!
There was also a shelf available for the M19 table that mounted above
the TD to hold a FPR.
Have fun & Happy New Year
