I forwarded the message to the oldest living (known to me) ex-Teletype
manager.  Maybe he will look it up and can tell us.

I know there was at one time an "electronic stunt box" developed,
think it was called "Stuntronic" but I don't know any more about it.

Back in Model 28 days the FAA (and others) used selective calling
in the 28 stunt box so that printers could copy only the messages
intended for their stations.  This entailed the printer making a lot
of busy sounds when there was traffic it was not copying.  That
didn't bother the FAA people, but when the principle was extended to
Model 35s in business offices AT&T was getting complaints from
customers about the noise coming from the machines when they were
not printing.  So I think the electronic stunt box was developed
to meet those objections.
