Last week, I mentioned problems I was having with rangefinder adjustment on my model 33.

I spent most of the day today in the retrocomputer lab, and made some progress:

a) The current through the selector magnet was low; I had to turn the trimmer in the CCU all the way to one end to get the current up to 0.5 A.

b) The tension on the selector magnet armature spring was about 2oz, but the spec says 3 to 3.5oz.  So, I tightened that.

Net result, it works a little better, but still flakey.  The selector armature is definitely not broken.
