[GreenKeys] Sears Mod 33

At our Sears mail order place they had a Model 33 with a Magtape 
machine.  Orders would come in at the end of the day and the operator 
would sit at the 33 and type all the info onto tape and then run the 
tape feeding the info into the mag tape unit.  Then the main office 
would call in and read the data off the mag tape unit.  My boss got a 
call one day asking for some help as it wasn't a telco circuit or 
machine so he sent me over to investigate it.  The machine would just 
sit there and all of a sudden the platen or print ball, don't remember 
which it was would jump, not do anything else.  Every few minutes it 
would do the same thing.  In desperation i asked for an extension cord 
and plugged it into another wall circuit and the machine started working 
normally.  No idea what was on that 115vac circuit but all of a sudden 
it just started doing that and Sears operator had no idea what was going 
on.  Strange things.  They just left it plugged into the extension cord 
and a different wall plug till they quit doing business in town.

This was back in the late 70's in a two horse town.
