I can totally relate to that! I taught high school for 33 years and
nearly every day I wore a shirt and tie to work, up to and including my
last day of classes when I retired in 2019. The only exceptions were
school spirit days which meant a school T-shirt, or a teacher conference
day when there were no students around. My district was notorious for
calling a weather (snow day) closing at the last possible moment and
there were many snowy mornings I'd go out and clear the driveway, go
back inside and dress for work and hear the news flash on the radio just
as I finished tying my tie that school had been called off for the day.
If school wasn't closed, then the plow had more than likely come by and
filled the end of the driveway by the time I was finished dressing.
Fun times ... ?
