I see now how the TX & RX of the CV-2460 terminals can be strapped
together. (I had not seen the rear panel of the CV-2460 and assumed
there were connectors)
My main question was how is the UGC-6 used in full duplex operation?
Fig 12-38 does not show that option.

The CV-2460 allows both full duplex and half duplex operation. For full duplex you use all 4 connections.
