[GreenKeys] Model 28 carriage hammer link problem...

Hello everyone,

I recently acquired a model 28 RO and after cleaning it up and appropriate
lubrication it's almost back in operation. It goes through the motion of
printing, however the hammer is not striking the characters in the type box.
What seems to be happening is the Printing Arm Slide (p/n 150039) is coming
off of the Printing Track (p/n 150598). I can replace the Slide grove
back onto the Track and it will print one character and then pop off the
track again.

The Arm (p/n 150068) that connects the Slide to the Carriage Assembly is not
bent and seems to hold the slide tightly onto the Track. The Slide and
track doesn't seem to be worn out or damaged. I can't find any reason for
this to be failing. I have attached a photo of the slide sitting on top
of the track, out of the grove in the slide.

Has anyone on the list had this problem or know of a solution?

Thanks,

Clay Archer
