[GreenKeys] LMU11 vs LMU12

I have a NOS LMU11.  Looks to me exactly like the 12.  Looking at the parts bulletin, all the parts are shown as the for both except the part number for the stator has a note "arranged for inverted mounting".  I don't get it.  What part of at motor cares about it's orientation, least of all the stator?  (I must have dozed off during that part of the motors course!)
