[GreenKeys] Never close enough and never willing to ship! LOL!

+1 for uShip. A few years ago I shipped a Model 19 with table and a Model 15 on a single pallet through an independent shipper from Madison, WI to near SLC, UT for around $400, including the $100 fee to pick the pallet up with a forklift (I could have saved that $100 if they could have picked up the pallet from a warehouse dock). Saved $100 on delivery as a local business was willing to have the pallet delivered at their loading dock.

When it comes to shipping these kinds of bigger machines, the seller does have to be willing to palletize it. I suppose some independent drop shippers may be willing to palletize for a fee. When I did uShip, the seller was kind enough to palletize for the cost of the straps and shribkwrap he used; not all are willing to put in that effort.

I've never tried it, but I wonder if Greyhound shipping would be a good method in general. You're limited to 100 pounds and 29x47x82, so that rules out a lot of equipment, but it's not a bad price and should work for your average table-less Model 15 and similarly sized machines. That might even work for a 26 attached to the table... might even work for a 33 with stand for that matter if you can put it on its side. Anyway, their quote tool tells me it would take $150 from New York to me for a hundred pound item, if shipped station to station (i.e. someone would have to drop it off at the source station and pick it up from the destination station). Not bad comparatively. Looks like they'll pick up the item from the source for a fee, too.
