I am a subscriber to the Times. The story does not have much
detail, no frequencies given. My understanding from other sources
is that the BBC has never completely discontinued short wave
braodcasting and still has some active transmitting sites. Again,
I have no details. It would be interesting to know where to
listen. I have not done a web search so there may be info there.
While the World Service is available via the web (along with
domestic BBC channels) I still miss it on short wave. I was a
steady listener for many years. I also miss the VOA which could
always be heard and had some good programs. About the only thing
on short wave now is religious propaganda.
