[GreenKeys] Model 33 CR LF

Hi All,

Thanks to the replacement resistor for the tape reader from Wayne my
Model 33 is now completely running. The keyboard, printer, tape reader,
and punch all work and so does the current loop. Now I just have a
couple of final minor issues that I'm hoping you guys can help with.

Firstly, the line feed sometimes gets jammed... It's somewhat random,
but the lever that pulls the cog down gets stuck after doing a line-feed
and so subsequent LFs don't work unless I jiggle the platen knob to free
it. This doesn't happen every time, only occasionally... I think I've
just got to look at that mechanism and work through it, but as far as I
can tell it's all freely moving and clean and properly lubricated...
Just thought I'd check to see if anyone here has any specific
suggestions to look out for.

My other issue is with the carriage return. It's quite slow and doesn't
completely return on it's own without some help... I opened up the air
vent on the piston but that hasn't helped. Basically after a carriage
return if I type a couple of characters the carriage works it's way back
and re-engages but every time after a carriage return the first 3 or 4
chars are overlapped on the page before the mechanism re-engages and
moves correctly. I found that if I manually compress the carriage return
spring a little bit to make it stronger then the problem seems to go
away so I suspect my spring is somehow weak... Is there an adjustment
for it? I haven't been able to find any... Are there any other
suggestions, or do you think I need a new spring... in which case, does
anyone have a spare?

Thanks,
Troy.
