I saw a movie sighting post this morning, and decided to update my Teletypes in Movie and TV list.  I do not think it has been updated since 2016!  Their are many new additions, mostly from members here.

See the link below, for photos from some of these films and TV shows.  This site has not been updated in a long time, but many will enjoy looking at it again.  It also has a folder of Teletype - Telecommunications postage stamps, featuring examples of machines, and many examples of paper tape technology.

The Boomtown Rats - "I Don't Like Mondays" (1979).  Lyrics contain - “The Telex machine is kept so clean”.

The Six Million Dollar Man - Their was an episode entitled “The Ghostly Teletype”, unknown if it actually featured a teletype.

Thunderbirds - “The Mighty Atom”.  British science fiction television (1965-66), using a form of marionette puppetry (supermarionation).

Twilight Zone - “Printer’s Devil”  Episode with Burgess Meredith operating a linotype machine.

Walter Cronkite's CBS News - row of 28RO machines in background

The Essex - "Easier Said Than Done"  Popular song sung by The Essex that was a number-one song in the US in 1963.  The Essex were active-duty members of the United States Marine Corps.  The song's rhythm was inspired by the sound of the Teletype machines in the communications office of their Marine post.
