Last Wednesday I got the 15 RO (which he had listed as a KSR.)
I got the 28 ASR, which has a keyboard perforator / reperf
and a dome mounted reperf,
He also gave me three TU's a military Dovetron,
A Frederick 1632 dual TU and a CV483/URA17.
The 15 RO has selector problems. Even with a steady 60 mA
holding the magnet closed, the selector runs open. I am
dividing my time between that and the ASR.
The AC wiring in the ASR is a mess. AC does not go
through the main power switch. Even then I cannot get the
motors to run. I am in the process of re-wiring the AC.
Without the motors I cannot even decide what speed the
machine is except that the dome reperf has a gearshift.
All the loop wiring goes to an electronics package
underneath. So next I will have to rewire the loops.
I got a 19 for a local ham who promised to pick it up last
Thursday, but has not been seen nor heard from since.
The 19 is now available from Southwestern PA Free To a Good
Home. It looks like it may need a lot of TLC, starting with a
new motor. (Available from Jim Cooper for $25 plus $17 shipping.)
I had wanted the 32, but Lester told me a fellow from Philadelphia
was coming for 32 and 33 so he would not let.me have the 32.
At least I am glad he gave them to another Greenkeyer.
He said he might want to keep the 28 KSR. I told him if he decides
to get rid of it, I would come for it. I did not know about any other
28 printers.
He is only about 2 hours away from me. My friend's pickup only
used $70 in gas (which I paid.) It was riding low on the way back.
