Loosened the screws on the signal generator box of my LXD 7 and realized 
that just loosening it gave enough clearance to get the top off. 
Confirmed continuity from the rear base terminal board to the sig. gen. 
contacts. But Mark & Space wires reversed! (External zip-cord signal 
line had been wired to terminals 1 & 3 and now I know why)

Sig Gen contacts where crudded up which was why I was getting no signal. 
Could not get a burnishing tool into the contacts (my tool was too 
big).  Tried as piece of paper to clean the contacts, but no 
improvement.  Finally decided it needed some solvent, so dripped some 
alcohol onto the paper between the contacts & moved the paper around  
and then wiped it with a clean piece of paper, repeated, and it cleaned it!

Plugged the tape unit into my loop to see if it would print - but just 
garble.  Remembered that the tape unit has 100wpm gears and my only 
printer at home is 60wpm.  So took the AFSK out of the Dovetron TU and 
sent it to a computer running MMTTY at 75 baud.  MMTTY copies it fine!

Just need to lube it and close it up.
