Just open the windows and turn on a fan if the smoke gets out. I only had one or two give up the smoke during my time in the AF, and it doesn’t seem to have affected me. But now I don’t run my Kleinschmidt machines with selenium rectifiers 24/7, but so far none have let the smoke out. In fact one of the later model ones with the potted full bridge rectifiers gave up the smoke. But when I contacted the manufacturer, whose name and company logo was plainly printed on the device, they claimed they never made such a device and would be of no help finding a replacement.

Subject: [GreenKeys] Kleinschmidt Power Supply PP-978/FG: Replace Selenium Rectifier
Greenkeys,
I am getting a TT-98B/FG up and running and would like to replace the selenium rectifier in the power supply (PP-978/FG) with silicon. If anyone has experience doing this with this particular equipment, I would very much appreciate the help.
Best,
Joe
