Of course it would be even more fun if it could be done with a 2B printer
and gummed tape, but you can't get that stuff anymore.

Back during the Vietnam war I operated a MARS station and occasionally
took incoming messages for people near where I lived.  This was by voice,
and I would deliver them by phone but followed up by mailing a hard copy
made on a tape strip printer and a MARS message form.
