I have the Flesher TU-170 hardwired to the "tristate" audio bus between
the SEA245 transceiver and the control head, so it's not easy to reroute
audio without ripping things apart.
On tuning up the TU-170, I did the transmit side first, then looped it
back into the receive side watching the amplitudes on the scope outputs of
the TU-170. Since the TU-170 is driving the audio bus for the SEA245,
transmit audio comes out the control head speaker. I adjusted the transmit
tone frequencies holding my phone to the speaker is using the Keulsoft
audio frequency counter application
(http://www.keul.com/AudioFrequencyCounter/ .
And, of course, I replaced the single turn pots in the TU-170 with
multiturn pots as shown at https://w6iwi.org/rtty/tu170/ .
I am finally starting to mess with DSP on a PIC32MZ microcontroller. I
have an audio output using PWM, a direct digital synthesis tone generator,
and a BPF biquad filter running. Working on getting the ADC working. It
currently does one conversion and does not run after that. All
calculations are done as doubles at 8 kHz sampling rate, then converted to
8 bit to drive the PWM output.
